The Martin household at Christmas time

Anyone that knows me will tell you that I am Christmas freak. The decorating, the music, the movies, everything. The only thing I don't partake in is Black Friday because I'm always done shopping by October. I start the decorating the first week of November, and I love every minute of it, so I'm using this time to share all the pics.

Peace

Part of the Peace on Earth December challenge from Courtney over at http://www.womenlivingwell-courtney.blogspot.com/ is to light a candle every day in the month of December, and pray for peace in your home when it catches your eye. Let's just say, that with as much time as I spent in my kitchen today, I did an awful lot of praying.

Today was spent spending money on groceries that we don't have, but hey, at least we have food which is more than a lot of people can say, and we have enough gas to get to church on Sunday, and that is all that matters to me. We were sick the past couple weeks and unable to attend, so I'm more than ready to get back there.

With 22 days left until Christmas, I am trying to stay focused on the positive and keep it in mind that things won't always be this way.

We also got a new visitor today, and his name is Jack. Shayna named him all by herself, and was so excited to read "The Elf on the Shelf," which I won in a Christmas contest on Cafemom. Jack will watch her and fly back to the North Pole every night to report to Santa about her behavior. He has already flown from the tv to here:

Apparently, he wanted some sugar. Just what we need around here, a little Elf flying around hyped up on sugar. Haha.

Happiness is

These things. Thank you God for blessing me with a crazy, lovable, and energetic weenie dog.

Thank you for my wonderful husband who does so much for me and our daughter.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you for blessing us with Shayna. She is growing up before our very eyes, but I'm very thankful to have her with us.
