So many things

Well, here I am again, returning to this blog as an outlet for my praises, frustrations, and daily life. I really need to start doing this more often, rather than once a year or so, and after the hassle I just had trying to sign in, I am going to make sure that this stays one of my goals. Seriously, it was like Fort Knox trying to get back in here.

So, the last time I was here, Shayna was just about to turn three, and we had been living in our freshly remodeled house for all of three months. A lot has transpired since then, including my my top goal of being a better Christian and following God's word to the best of my ability. I still have a lot to learn, but I am reading my Bible a lot, and am gaining so much from it.

Times are pretty tough for us right now, financially speaking, and as if that weren't bad enough, our truck decided to start having issues today where it's still getting power after the engine is shut off, thus draining the battery. Lovely, right? Yeah, especially since we now have to rely on our tiny Hyundai, which is not only a very cozy little car, but it's not in the best shape either. It seems like everything hits us all at once, and it's always when the money isn't coming in at David's work.

I am trying to best to keep a positive outlook on this. I do not complain or make negative statuses about it on Facebook because I don't like negativity. In fact, I have cut several people out of my life who were toxic and very negative. It's not good for me, and it doesn't help with my aforementioned goal of being a better Christian and a Godly woman. Only one person knows about this situation, and she knows who she is. She is a fantastic, positive, and understanding woman who happens to share a love of the Lord with me.

My life could be much worse right now, but I am thankful for what I do have- a wonderful husband, a nice home, beautiful daughter, a country life, and my family and friends, amongst many things.

Shayna is now almost 4-years-old, and is thriving in her first year at a Christian preschool. It's so amazing to hear about the things she learns on a daily basis, complete with Jesus teachings.

Here are some pics from her very first day of preschool back in September:

Hi. I kind of know just how you feel. Just when you think you might be getting back on your feet, something happens, and it's like dominoes and everything happens all at once. I use my blog for ranting and venting too. I found your link on Courtney's site and wanted to say hi and I like your honesty on your blog. I prefer *real* people.

Patty, thank you so much. I am a very real, down-to-earth, and honest kind of person.
